JOE FERRARA

1932-2004

A graduate of Pratt Institute in New York, Joe Ferrara spent his career painting and sculpting scenes of the American West and North American Wildlife.

His attention to detail and his innate ability to capture the essence of life in the American West prompted the Winchester Arms Company to commission him to design and paint several of their commemorative gun box sleeves and medallions as well as to paint western scenes for their series of collector calendars.

Joe was also a longtime member of the “Charlie Russell Riders”, a group of professionals dedicated to the advancement of American Western Art.
