EDWARD NORTON WARD
Ward began his professional training at UCLA, where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics. After serving in the Korean War, Ward returned to his native California, settling on the Monterey peninsula where he pursued his love of painting and grew to be considered one of the finest impressionist painters in the Western United States. He is a charter member of the Society of American Impressionists.
Ward has an extraordinary mental energy which can be seen in his work. His paintings have a vibrancy that seems to radiate with the energies of light, color and nature in process. One feels compelled to stop and consider what is taking place in Ward’s paintings rather than just strolling by and catching a glimpse of them.
Ward currently resides and paints in The Rogue River Valley in Oregon.
